Elizabeth has the unique idea to teach blind children and adults to ice skate. With ten of her former students as volunteers, skating classes began for six students; three with visual impairments, and three with intellectual disabilities. For the first time, she introduces people with disabilities to the world of ice skating. Elizabeth’s program begins with volunteers and free ice time and equipment supplied by local rink owners.
