Bar Walker

Product description:

 

1. A bar that hinges and swings open and closed allows the skater to enter from behind and uses removable bail pins to attach the rear bar. The same bail pins are used to adjust the height for the correct knee angle for sitting to standing movement.

2. The back bar is where the skater sits to rest while on the ice. This is the rear crossbar which detaches on one side and swings out. This walker also folds for storage and for transport. Bottom side runners are approximately 40″ in length.

Sizing

It is available in two sizes.

small 19″W X 20″D handles range in height from 29″ to 37″in 5 interval stops.

large 29″W X 20″D handles range in height from 34″ to 42″in 5 interval stops.

Additional Support


Harness
The harnesses are used to aid the skater in attaining proper posture and balance. It comes in multiple sizes for children and adults. Both types of harnesses include handles in the back to assist volunteers in supporting the skater at the waist and at the shoulder blade level. Children sizes also have a crotch support to help secure them in the harness. All harnesses can be used with the standard and bar style walkers.  .

Stabilizer
The seat stabilizer designed for skaters who have limited or no ability to bear weight. It is used only with the bar style walker and is for skaters over 48” in height and more and 60 lbs. Most skaters who utilize this stabilizer come to the rink in wheelchairs and are not walking independently or for more than a few feet.
